ABOUT US
Cypress-Woodlands Junior Forum is a growing organization of women dedicated to providing volunteer services, leadership and philanthropy to enrich the northern corridor of Houston. In partnership with individuals, families, schools, organizations and corporations, Cypress-Woodlands Junior Forum strives to fulfill identified needs in an evolving community where the participation of its members can be most effective through education, crisis intervention, interaction with an aging population and support for people with disabilities. Since 1982, Cypress-Woodlands Junior Forum members have contributed approximately 500,000 service hours to Harris and Montgomery counties, and during the 2003-2004 charitable year alone, provided the equivalent of over $450,000 in volunteer hours to the community. In addition, proceeds from the annual Cypress-Woodlands Junior Forum Fundraising Luncheon allow us to recognize and financially support deserving agencies through our Community Outreach Grants & Gifts program. To date, Cypress-Woodlands Junior Forum has awarded over $300,000 in Outreach grants. Past CWJF grant recipients include: Montgomery County WomenÕs Center, Goodwill Industries, Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM), Montgomery County Committee on Aging, Early Childhood Intervention - Keep Pace Program, TOMAGWA Ministries, and NAM ChildrenÕs Dental Clinic.
Since 1990, Cypress-Woodlands Junior Forum has awarded $255,000 in $1,000 scholarships to young women dedicated to volunteerism. In partnership with Houston Endowment, CWJF has also recognized the volunteer service of over 885 students with a $500 scholarship during the past 4 years.
Cypress-Woodlands Junior Forum is proud to be making a difference in communities that we serve.
